TOEFL Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) Required if your native country’s primary language is not English. A score of 550 (paper test), 213 (computer-based test), or 79 (internet-based test) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is considered the minimum acceptable for admission to The University of Texas at Austin. While it is required to submit a TOEFL/IELTS, students who have received their education in English beginning in at least their secondary years, may submit scores after the deadline.
